This is a heavy duty special tool made for Mercury Tilt Caps Only on all Mercury V6 Trim & Tilt Units
Works on Gen 1, 2 & 3 Units 1986-2017 135hp -300hp Gen 1 is a side fill unit

This is a precision made part for a tight fit when biting into a End Cap / Gland this prevents slipping
If too much force is applied the pins may break or damage to the cap can occur.
If you need more leverage we incorporated a 1/2 Socket for a breaker bar.
Be careful when removing as some caps require heat before they move

These guys are the real deal. Absolutely over the top service! Had a miscommunication with an order for a wrench and seal kit. They refunded me for the original order, then overnighted the correct order at no charge. work good on the tilt cylinder need pins for the trim caps do you have the pins for sale for the trim cylinders smaller pins thanks
Worked but the open end of the wrench was bent all up and I only got 4pins that fit the tilt cylinder when I only need 2 and not the smaller pins for the trim cylinder.
I probably ordered the wrong size gap, as I had to widen it to fit around the ram shaft. But it worked perfectly.
Just finished getting my boat back in the water. I purchased the rebuild kit from these guys along with spanner tool needed for the job. Staff was extremely helpful when ordering. Making sure that I had all the right parts and tools needed. The kit and directions arrived early and were exactly what I needed. I had to time this job perfectly to avoid possible extra charges while on the travel lift. I ran into a snag in the middle of the job, so I took a shot and called them up on the phone. The man I spoke with walked me through my issue and saved the day. I was really shocked they were so helpful with me doing the work on my own. I definitely suggest using Five Star Marine to anyone in need and I plan on doing business with them again in the fall when I pull the boat for the winter and it is time to do the other motor.
