This kit rebuild the tilt cap assembly without having to purchase the full rebuild kit. (will work for both generations, cap with groove and without)
Kit includes:
- 1 Viton High Grade Wiper
- 1 Tilt Rod Oil Seal (Redesigned o-ring for better squeeze)
- 1 Outer Tilt Cap Seal

The OEM seals are Biodegradable and we have seen them fail in just 4 years, this kit is made of very high quality materials and will last 20-30 Years if rebuilt properly.
We also offer the caps for both New Style and Old style Units
Most of the time the cap is fine but in salt water often the cap must be replaced.
The brown plunger seal is a special seal and requires some skill to get onto the plunger without stretching its fit the seal over gently and slowly to avoid stretching.
This is a very high quality design just not easy to install. The OEM rebuild kit uses a OXE urethane plunger seal we chose to stick with the original higher quality choice.
